INSECTS OF SOUTH CAROLINA WALLPAPER

This is one of my favorite projects to date! In February of 2023, a client contacted me asking me if I could create wallpaper for a lake house she was building in South Carolina, inspired by one of the illustrations I had previously created for Magnolia Journal. It's been a dream of mine to design wallpaper, so of course I was thrilled with the opportunity. The design I created mostly illustrates an array of multi-colored moths, but I also included a few insects inspired the location of the lake house – specially two different cicada illustrations. When I visit South Carolina with my family each summer, the constant song of the cicadas wringing out all hours of the day is one of my favorite things.
